Alex had a long and successful relationship with two galleries in Italy: 

Gabriella Cardazzo of the Galleria del Cavallino in Venice, and Tino Ghelfi Gallery in Vicenza.

He produced regular one-man shows for them in the 1970's and 1980's which were very successful.

A large carved wooden bas relief of the town of Vicenza was bought by Fiat.
